Anti-Termite Treatment

All termites are social insects, which live in large colonies. They originate from the soil and generally enter structures undetected via hidden pathways, the so called "mud tunnels" in foundation walls and floors. They primarily live inside the soil and come out mostly to forage for feeding purposes.

Although subterranean termites can be a menace, they are important to the environment because they break down dead plant material converting it to humus. Like any other pest, termites become a problem when they invade your home and living space.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU HAVE TERMITES?

The most common signs of a termite infestation include
  • Swarmers - Generally shortly before and after the annual rains, winged reproductive termites, the so-called Alates, emerge and make a short mating flight. Swarming termites are usually attracted to bright light and can thus be found near windows. After mating they shed their wings, which are another tell-tale sign of termite presence.
  • Shelter Tubes - Termites are very sensitive to changes in humidity. That is why they build mud tubes to protect themselves from sunlight, predators and to maintain convenient humidity levels. These tubes are a good sign of an ongoing termite infestation.
  • Damage - As termite workers consume wood, they create honey combed galleries which run parallel to the grain of the wood. There is often more damage than at first thought due to their secretive lifestyle and consumption of wood from the inside out.

Termite Control

To get rid of termites from your premises the following options are available to you: To stop and prevent the movement of termites from the ground, holes are drilled from inside your premises at the junction of the wall and the floor at an angle of 45 degrees. The holes are drilled along the side of the entire outer wall at approximately 30cm (12") intervals.

The insecticide is then poured into these holes to soak the masonry. If your premises are on the ground floor, the partition walls are also treated. The drilling operation is not carried out on the partition walls above the ground floor because the RCC slabs act as a mechanical barrier and the termites cannot penetrate them. After the initial major treatment, our operator will visit your premises for a check up once in every quarter. Necessary treatment will be carried out in case of any re-infestation. You can call us whenever there is a reappearance of termites during the contract period.

Anti - Termite Treatment: (Pre Construction)

Pre-construction Anti Termite treatment is a scientific process of preventing entry of subterranean species of termites into the buildings by creating a chemical barrier in the soil surrounding the premises. The various stages of treatment are as follows:

Foundation Trench Treatment: This treatment is carried out after the excavation is over and before laying the concrete.

  • Backfilled Soil Treatment: Once the soil is filled along with walls and columns up to ground level, we treat the plinth level area with Termiticide emulsion @ rate of 0.5 Ltr. per running M. At is directing the spray towards the soling of plinth.
  • Under Floor Treatment: After the soil has been filled up to plinth level and properly compacted before soiling, the entire carpet area is sprayed by chemical emulsion.
  • Treatment along exterior wall perimeter: A chemical barrier is created along exterior wall perimeter of the built-up area by spraying method.
  • Chemical barrier can protective structure for many years. (under ideal Conditions)
